Clare Worley TiTle: Metallicity Distribution with the FEROS archived spectra Abstract: The FEROS archived spectra represent a standalone spectral library of solar neighbourhood stellar spectra. The AMBRE Project has determined effective temperatures, surface gravities, global metallicities and global alpha element to iron ratios for ~6500 of these spectra (~3000 stars) as defined by the limits of the synthetic spectra grid of FGKM stars. The addition of photometric and kinematic information, where possible, from key catalogues to the stellar parameters of these objects allows this sample to be explored for its chemico-kinematic distribution. The results of this analysis in the context of the metallicity distribution in the solar neighbourhood will be presented here. (with P. de Laverny, A. Recio-Blanco, V. Hill and G. Kordopatis)
