The visitors that want to go deep into this topic may request to the author of these pages an hypertext on the history of celestial cartography from 1500 to 1850 recently published on cd-rom and containing almost 500 images. The images, coming from public libraries and private collections, include all the figures contained in the atlases of Piccolomini, Gallucci, Bayer, Cellarius, Hevelius, Flamsteed, Doppelmayer, Fortin, Bode and many other maps.
The system requirements are the following: Personal Computer with CPU 486 or higher, RAM 4 Mb (8 Mb recommended), SVGA graphics adapter card (64k colors recommended), 2x (or higher) cd-rom drive.
