Database multidisciplinari

* ISI Web of Knowledge  bibliographic information  access upon subscription
"Multidisciplinary coverage of over 10,000 high-impact journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities, as well as international proceedings coverage for over 120,000 conferences. Powerful tools include cited reference searching, Citation Maps, and the Analyze Tool."

*
Scopus bibliographic information and/or full-text content  available upon subscription "SciVerse Scopus is the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources. Contains 41 million records, 70% with abstracts, nearly 18,000 titles from 5,000 publishers worldwide".

*
Current Contents  access upon subscription
"Current Contents ® is a current awareness database that provides easy access to complete tables of contents, bibliographic information, and abstracts from the most recently published issues of leading scholarly journals. Cover-to-cover, expert indexing provides accurate access to all the information available in journals, not just articles. The web version, Current Contents Connect ®, is part of the ISI Web of Knowledge integrated solution".

* Refdoc  (da INIST-CNRS)
"Plus de 50 millions de références d’articles, ouvrages, rapports, actes de congrès... en science, technologie, médecine, sciences humaines et sociales, de 1847 à nos jours (mise à jour quotidienne)".

The Eprint Network
". . a vast, integrated network of electronic scientific and technical information created by scientists and research engineers active in their respective fields, all full-text searchable. E-print Network is intended for use by other scientists, engineers, and students at advanced levels. . . . a gateway to over 35,300 websites and databases worldwide, containing over 5.5 million e-prints in basic and applied sciences, primarily in physics but also including subject areas such as chemistry, biology and life sciences, materials science, nuclear sciences and engineering, energy research, computer and information technologies, and other disciplines of interest to DOE".

* CERN document server: Articles and preprints

- NDLTD (Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations) The Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations is an international organization dedicated to promoting the adoption, creation, use dissemination, and preservation of electronic theses and dissertations."

Matematica
  • Engineering Village 2
  • "Engineering Village is the premier web-based discovery platform meeting the information needs of the engineering community".

    2. Dati astronomici (e in qualche caso anche bibliografici)
  • NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database  (NED)
    "It is built around a master list of extragalactic objects for which cross-identifications of names have been established, accurate positions and redshifts entered to the extent possible, and some basic data collected. Bibliographic references relevant to individual objects have been compiled, and abstracts of extragalactic interest are kept on line. Detailed and referenced photometry, position, and redshift data, have been taken from large compilations and from the literature. NED also includes images from 2MASS, from the literature, and from the Digitized Sky Survey. NED's data and references are being continually updated, with revised versions being put on-line every 4-6 months".

  • US Virtual Astronomical Observatory   dati
    "The VAO is a part of  a worldwide effort called the Virtual Observatory (VO) that aims to link  astronomy data and services".

  • LEVEL 5
    "The purpose of LEVEL5 is to bring together in a single gateway WEB site (where copyrights allow) "original" documents and reviews and/or electronic links to articles of current and lasting interest to cosmologists, particle physicists and extragalactic astronomers".
  • SIMBAD on the Web
    Prodotto dallo Strasbourg Astronomical Data Center (CDS),  "the SIMBAD astronomical database provides basic data, cross-identifications, bibliography and measurements for astronomical objects outside the solar system.  SIMBAD can be queried by object name, coordinates and various criteria."
  • VizieR (CDS mirror)  VizieR, "the CDS/ESRIN service for astronomical catalogues, is the result of a joint effort of CDS (Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg) and ESA-ESRIN (Information Systems Division) in order to provide the astronomical community with a dedicated tool for retrieving astronomical data listed in published catalogues and tables, by the means of a relational database management system".

  • HEASARC  (High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center)
    "The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC) is the primary archive for NASA missions dealing with extremely energetic phenomena, from black holes to the Big Bang. Having recently merged with the Legacy Archive for Microwave Background Data Analysis (LAMBDA), it includes data obtained by NASA's high-energy astronomy missions from the extreme ultraviolet through gamma-ray bands, along with missions that study the relic cosmic microwave background".
  • IRSA  (Nasa/IPAC Infrared Space Archive)
    "IRSA is chartered to curate the calibrated science products from NASAs infrared and sub-millimeter missions, including five major large-area/all-sky surveys".

  • MAST  (Multimission Archive at STScI).
    The Multimission Archive at STScI supports a variety of astronomical data archives, with the primary focus on scientifically related data sets in the optical, ultraviolet, and near-infrared parts of the spectrum.
  • NSSDC (National Space Science Data Center)
    The National Space Science Data Center (NSSDC) provides  access to a wide variety of astrophysics, space physics, solar physics, lunar and planetary data from NASA space flight missions, in addition to selected other data and some models and software.
