The scope of the talk is to present an overview of my current ongoing projects in order to establish (or consolidate) possible collaborations in (or out) the Bologna Observatory. My activities were mainly focused on the development of adaptive optics instrumentation for LBT and VLT. In the last years the commissioning(s) of MAD@VLT (Multiconjugate Adaptive optics Demonstrator) and FLAO@LBT (First Light Adaptive Optics) opened the possibility to compare actual infrared imaging adaptive optics data to numerical simulations of the expected performance of such as instrument. Large part of my activities now is related to the exploitation of adaptive optics in the sense of astronomical science production: science cases definition and testing of to be done facilities (such as LINC-NIRVANA for LBT) and observations preparation and data reduction for existing ones (FLAO for LBT).
