Space Geodesy uses several observational techniques to determine high
precision time series of global parameters such as the position of the
center of mass of the earth, the instantaneous direction of the figure
axis and the multipolar components of the geopotential. This talk will
address the main scientific issues, describe the observational
networks and techniques, and show some of the results obtained so far.
