The Large Binocular Camera (LBC) is a double wide-field imager for the Large Binocular Telescope. It is designed for seeing-limited observations in the wavelength range from the near UV to 1 micron, over a 1/2 degree diameter field of view. After describing the instrument, I will report on the current status of the project. At the moment of this writing (February 2005), the Red Channel of LBC is going to be integrated in the laboratory, while the Blue Channel has already been installed at the telescope and most of the commissioning operations have been completed, in parallel with the telescope commissioning. The first light of LBT with LBC Blue is foreseen in late spring - early summer 2005.
