(Quoting Wikipedia) "The virtual observatory (VO) is a collection of
interoperating data archives and software tools which utilize the
internet to form a scientific research environment in which
astronomical research programs can be conducted."
During this talk, VO tools developed for data discovery, data
browsing, catalogue manipulation and spectral analysis will be
introduced, such as Aladin, VODesktop, Topcat, VOSpec and many
more. The new ESO Archive browser, VirGO, will also be briefly
introduced.
